I believe there is no God.

RE: I believe there is no God.
Neither theism or atheism is bigotry. If both were bigotry that would imply that everyone is a bigot because everyone either believes in god(s) (theism), doesn't believe in god(s)(atheism) or believes that there is no god(s)(atheism again).

everyone either believes in god(s) (theism) or believes that there is no god(s)(atheism again) are bigots because it is a positive claim without evidence. But not believing in god is not.

RE: I believe there is no God.
Believing there is no god(s) can merely mean believing that god(s) is more than 50% improbable, it doesn't necessarily mean believing that god(s) is impossible. There is evidence for the former (in the sense that there's a valid reason to believe it). If god(s) exists he is so far from our experience that that is an inductive argument to consider him improbable. Inductive reasoning is not bigotry.

I AM SURE THERE IS NO GOD.

Because if he did exist, he would have to be an awful
SICK PUPPY !
Angry

The existance of a "God" is a moral impossibility.

By your logic Satan can still exist though. (Or Yahweh actually: He IS fucking sick).

An interesting point of view, but unproven as a general principle.

By definition,a bigot is
Quote: an obstinate AND intolerant adherent of a creed or point of view (Concise Oxford Dictionary)
This is certainly true of many believers and hard atheists, but not all.

The existence of ONE open and/or tolerant believer or hard atheist invalidates your proposition..

I didn't use it in that contex. And in my defense English is not my mother tounge. The word we use in turkish for bigot does not include intolerant.

RE: I believe there is no God.
OK; I will be more specific:

I know that the "God" named "Jahwe" mentioned in the Judeo-Christian-Islamic "Holy Scriptures" does not exist, therefore nothing this imaginary deity created exists either; including the imaginary figure called "Satan" . . . . . along with Judeo-Christian-Islamic "Hell" and "Paradise".

I might add:
Arguing by way of semantics never gets anywhere and is a futile attempt at manoevering around the issuue:
I am sure every member of this forum knows exactly what is meant by the term "God", just as well as they understand what is meant by the term "Atheist".
The existance of a "God" is a moral impossibility.

That's called agnostic /soft/weak atheism and is very different. The hard atheist makes the positive claim that "there is no god" or "I believe there is no god". In doing so he attracts the burden of proof. The soft atheist makes no claims and therefore has no such obligation. .

The the word 'gnosis' means 'knowledge' . Theists and hard atheists both seem to conflate the word ' gnosis' with personal certitude, which is not the same thing.

I believe you. However, this is an English language forum and English definitions are used.
Quote:I know that the "God" named "Jahwe" mentioned in the Judeo-Christian-Islamic "Holy Scriptures" does not exist,

Really? WOW! Man, are you going to be famous! The first person in recorded history to establish the non existence of God as a fact.

I await your evidence with baited breath..

A gnostic atheist not only believes that there is no God but also believes that he knows that there is no God. Knowledge implies belief (and truth) but belief does not imply knowledge.
