Someone Explain This 'Shutdown' to Me?

Nothing to explain. It is a narcissistic, bully tactic, mean spirited tactic move on the part of the POTUS. It is pandering to his fear mongering base and also another attempt to distract from the Mueller investigation.

Donald Trump is basically holding the government hostage so he can build his monument to his racism. The House passed a bipartisan bill that would basically tell Trump "Fuck off, you stupid fat fuck". The Senate could pass this bill, get things working again, but Cocaine Mitch has decided he'd rather suck Trump's tiny cock than actually do anything about it. He could end this shutdown at any time. The 2/3rds majority they need would be incredibly easy to get. Sadly, Republicans have zero principles and instead of telling Donald Trump "No, we won't fund your wall that you said Mexico would pay for." they're letting him hold the government hostage because they really like getting paid to do nothing and they like fucking over people that aren't them. Especially poor people who aren't them. A lot of people aren't getting a paycheck at the moment because Donald Trump's got a miniature mushroom shaped dick and his KKK membership (they all get those white hoods with the tall hats to compensate for their extremely small dicks) is riding on it.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

Again, it isn't just that. He knows he stinks like a skunk, and when you have 50 former republican intel agents sign a letter during his run warning America not to elect him, that says a lot to me. I think he never expected to win, but when he did, he knew all the shit he had done in his past, and uses everything like kneeling NFL players and attacking war heros and judges and even his own intel to distract from the investigation.

He is simply pandering to the same base on this as when he came down the escalator and called Mexicans rapists.

Simple answer is that Trump is shutting down the government because if he doesn't get his wall, he will have failed to deliver on a key campaign promise, and that will hurt his prospects in the 2020 election. Giving up on the wall would be seen as a betrayal by his base, which he is depending on to re-elect him in 2020. Thus he's between a rock and a hard place.

It doesn't matter how morons misunderstood the significance of their shallow victory in presidential elections. Also wasn't it also "understood" that Mexico would pay for the wall?  F*ckwits have short
memory, don't they? Hehe

Let me give you a hint - those walls are NOT there to prevent immigration. Deceptively
simple solutions to complicated sociopolitical problems are usually only meant to placate simpletons and are a very expensive exercise in political posturing. Just because even a dimwit understands how a wall works, doesn't make it a viable solution to an international issue.

We didn't elect you.  Too bad, huh? Violin
To be fair, we don’t have agents in Russia to help rig the ballots, now, do we?

Well, to be fair, it is the only plank on his platform that he has consistently supported throughout his campaign.

Because democrats don't try to rig elections?

- Democrats pay retired British M16 agent, Richard Steele, GPS Fusion to generate a dossier on a Trump-Russia connection.  Steele, of course, ran the Russia desk out of M16 in London until he retried.
- DNC sabotages Hillary Clinton rival Bernie Sanders and forces him out of their primary.  Over 20,000 e-mails were hacked by Wikileaks and made public, including e-mails from DNC officials discussing using the media to derail the Sander's campaign.
- Broward County election supervisor, Brenda Snipes, "misplaced" more than 2000 ballots during Florida 2018 general election.  Why she was even in charge of Broward County in 2018 is disturbing after the mess from 2016 when the same person had a ruling against her for violating the Florida Constitution and illegally destroying ballots.

The christ nutter deflecting for that orange haired greedy lecherous old buffoon.   How surprising.

The more one observed Christ nutters rallying around trump, the more clear one could see what a disgusting and reprehensible personage any original Jesus of Nazareth that ever existed could well have been.
