I'm pretty good at memorizing all of the common names since I like the folklore attached to each of them.

I want to visit you guys now so I can steal plants!

Careful....last American to do that started the California Bushfires...late 1990's I believe

Sorry guys but like spelling and grammar the botanical names are the only way I can identify them...annoying I know.

Try looking up 'Bottle Brush' see how far you get

Hehe. My roommate MAKES me name things, but I do it with the common names. She calls it a "test" for my plant classes.

Yeah....it can be a real pain. I spent 4 years learning the botanical names of several hundred plants both Euopean and Australian native perculiar to the Sydney Basin. It has become such a habit now that I have to think in 'Botanical lingo' THEN I can get to the Common Name....weird I know Big Grin
