Immigration

RE: Immigration
Inalienable right makes no presumption about citizenship. It doesn't matter how much harder to swallow it is from foreigner than from a native. Anyone native who doesn't swallow it from the foreigner is more deserving of being deported than the foreigner.

@Chuck - So because I have pride in my country, have no problems with giving them the right to peaceably protest, learn a trade, and contribute money to support them via taxes I'm the bad guy? Go fuck yourself

I'm all for free lovin' hippie Utopian ideology. I'm all about free the captives, love one another, bring unto me your tired and hunrgy masses, we are the world crap. But it's a pipe dream without mutual respect.

If I feed, clothe and house a homeless guy and he spits the food at me, rips off his clothes and steals my crap I'm going to kick him the fuck out, because those resources could go to someone far more deserving. If that makes me an ass for being a more realistic idealist then kick me the fuck out..

@min.. leave it to you to poke the Bible into it. I'm talking about constitutional rights, not rights from God, but if it pleases his highness the GC I'll use privileges.

Easy, tackers. That's not quite what is being said here. At least, from me.

I'm sorry, but utopia (which is crap, I agree) and "don't shoot the stupid bastard" are two very different things. I am not saying let every single person who wants to live 10 to a two bedroom apartment while mailing all of their money home to their country of origin into the U.S.A. I'm just saying don't shoot them for doing it. I'm an eye for an eye kind of gal. I believe in the death penalty for certain cases. I do not believe in shooting people who are running across a border. That's ridiculous, fear-mongering shit right there.

The point is, we can't kick you out. We're stuck with you and all of your bible-loving buddies. Wink Illegal immigrants should be kicked out, strawman. Wink They shouldn't be shot, unless they are shooting. Ya feel me?

It was to Chuck, shell, I agree with your post in this case. I edited the post, sorry if you felt it was directed at anyone but Chuck. As I also stated in my analogy I'd kick them out... If they bring in drugs, or come in shooting then I say shoot back I agree. How many times though will you allow any immigrant to come over abuse the system for a while, get caught and kicked out, break back in, abuse the system cycles will you stand for before you realize you're being walked over? How far/long does your patience and compassion reach? How long before you get sick of paying for it monetarily?

RE: Immigration
Immigration works, whether legally or illegally, in the US, or not in the US, it works, there's no question about that.

Integration and multiculturalism on the other hand, are both a fucking disaster of a shambles.

The red herring of labelling people who assert immigrates are taking our jobs are all xenophobic is fallacious, considering in reality most of them, like us, don't want to work for a living, they simply screw over the welfare system designed to provide help to those in poverty or destitution within our society. Trying to get immigrates to respect the cultural values and actually speak the native/official language(s) of the country they enter is simply unrealistic to enforce; it's far easier for administration and local governments to simply provide interpreter services and translators for them at tax-payer's expense, naturally.

If you don't like how a lot of migrants abuse the system, then you're racist, wow some fucking clever logic people seem to have, considering some of my good friends and work colleagues are Asian and at least one agrees with me that some foreign nationals are shamelessly lazy benefit cheats.

I'm in Arizona which is ground zero for nut bag republican assholes who love guns and hate Mexicans. This whole "immigration" debate is nothing more than racism and, if you doubt that, ask why white Canadians are never part of the equation.

That's just silly. I know people from just about every ethnicity that work in the lawn care field. They find it very difficult to compete with illegal aliens that get paid $4 an hour & don't pay taxes. If they weren't breaking several laws every single hour they work, it wouldn't be an issue. It's also not fair to the immigrants that come here legally & take the time to become a resident alien or citizen. I've worked with several legal immigrants (from Germany & the Dominican Republic, one of the Germans sits next to me) here in the office & they all see it the same way across the board.

Anecdote: The same holds true for picking strawberries down near Tampa. That used to be great work for teens that were out of school, but they can't compete with illegal workers that live 12 or more to a double-wide. I used to think that was a stereotype till my folks bought a mobile home park & I had to clean out a few of the lots that the previous owner was letting illegal migrant workers live there packed like sardines. It's not legal & AFAIAC it's borderline slavery.

RE: Immigration
Well then welsh that to some people makes you seem like a bigot, apparently.

@Min it's privileges not rights Tongue and there are unalienable rights that should not be based off of ethnicity or nationality, but my point is without the first step of mutual respect and tolerance any privileges are useless and built upon sand.
