"NEW DELHI: India may overtake Germany and Japan to become the 3rd largest economy in the world by 2030, a report by Ernst and Young (EY) said.
India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is estimated to be around $26 trillion in market exchange terms by 2047-2048, the report noted."

Recently, India overtook the UK to become the 5th largest:
"A Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bulletin said on Thursday that India will maintain its position as the fifth-largest economy in 2023. Yeah, that has no bearing on anything. She's a dumbass who couldn't negotiate an order of Chinese food let alone a deal with India and no we won't see how it goes she doesn't have a prayer against Trump short of him dropping dead.

I think Chris Christie has a good angle for displacing DeSantis in second place behind Trump. He's still running uphill and probably won't get it, given the conformist nature of Republican followership. Their leadership is terrified of Trumpeteers and will fight against anyone who dares to criticize him. But Christie is the only one willing to attack him directly.
Trump will win the nomination and lose the general.

Lol. Politics. The area where some unfortunately lose all objectivity and just blindly support their "side" irrespective of whether it's good for the nation or not. As an Indian, I'm happy to concede Vajpayee did good things for our Country though he was a member of a party I don't vote for. As for Dr. Manmohan Singh, Cambridge/Oxford-educated Genius Economist who changed India's Economic Destiny forever, God bless him for that, he was India's PM from 2004-2014 and did a Wonderful Job. Modi who's been PM since then has done a Poor Job with his Demonetization and all but the Worst is his Appalling Human Rights Record and complicity in demonization and persecution of Christians and Muslims, including the Appalling Violence against Christians going on in Manipur under his Regime. Hope he loses in 2024 because of that. As long as it's a pure economic debate, I have no issue with this or that position. But when it gets violent it's terrible. As for Nikki Haley, her education and record speaks otherwise than you claim, Mr. Helios:

Yup and with all that all I have to do is hear her speak and the bullshit she says and rightly conclude she's a dumb dumb and she doesn't have a chance in hell of beating Trump. That's not politics I'm not even an American. That's simply a fact. Pointing to her Wikipedia page does not refute this.

Anything before the First Republican Debate is premature imo. Let's see after that. I think De Santis has a Good Chance of beating Trump, but it will depend on his Debate Performance. Likewise, whether Haley ultimately becomes VP or something similar depends on her own Debate Performance and Campaigning Skill. As for Biden, he's 80 and may not even win the Democratic Nomination, who knows.

I don't see any Republican beating Trump unless he's in jail by 2024. They are lashed to the mast with him, they will sail into port or go down with the ship.
DeSantis or Christie have the best of the worst odds, but neither can win the general, Christie for being a blowhard and DeSantis for tying himself to the wrong side of culture war issues.
I do agree that it's so early that lots can happen.
