Why?

Wealthy people know what money is really worth, and ultimately, in the grander scheme of things, you would be voting for who has control over the money of your nation, or at least this would be a major aspect of it, so you might as well vote for wealthy people who gained their wealth by means of integrity and honor. Forget their political views, all that stuff can be hashed out later.
