Christmas insanity

I was just on a Zoom call being trained on how to do something while another team member is out of town over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's important this task is done so that I can process payroll.

In the midst of this meeting, my daughter-in-law sent a text wanting to know when we were going to do Christmas. Seriously? We have always done a short get-together on Christmas Eve (she and my son have been together for a decade so this is not news). And...and...we will be getting together Saturday for our family Thanksgiving. But in the middle of the morning today she has to know.

Christmas Holocaust comin' up. Every year I lose 2-3 or more cousins to Xmas presents. Most rifles, some handguns. Last year one young man got a 9 pounder cannon. (Fired 9 pound cannon balls. That's 408 9mm bullets.) He loaded it wrong. "It's be louder and go further if we put more powder in it." No nondestructive testing done on that 150 year old cannon.
