I am hoping the royal wedding will restart debate about Australia becoming a Republic.

I don't resent or even care about the Brits having a Royal family. I think it's quaint.

BUT, I resent the FUCK out of QE2 being Queen of Australia and have since 1975.


For those of you not familiar; that was the year the Queen's APPOINTED representative, dismissed parliament, and with it,the elected government.I was livid at the time, and have never forgotten.

Aye, that's something I disagree with. I don't think the tax payers should have to fork their bill.
Not enough to make me an anti-royal though. They do some good now and again. Like yesterday, businesses had a huge rise in customers, really helped the economy. There's good and bad.
