Liberal, conservative, libertarian, and regardless of nationality, this is a bit of good news to celebrate.

I think I actually started a thread about this earlier. Maybe somebody can merge the threads.

I don't mean to be contrary, but I don't think either president has/had anything to do with bin Laden's eventual demise. In fact, I will find it a bit fucked up if he gets all the attention when the fact of the matter is that soldiers and officers are the ones who arrange these operations and get shit done. Obama had nothing to do with it. Actually, if he did what he said he was going to do, none of those men who killed bin Laden would have been overseas to do it. Mind you, this is coming from someone who is indifferent about the president. I am no Obamahater.

It's symbolism, Shell.

Americans love symbolism. In fact, they prefer it to reality.

So now there is NO point to staying in fucking Afghanistan.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if you were.

I'm an Obama hater ... and a Bush hater and a Republican hater and a Democrat hater and ..... you probably get where I'm goin with this.

I don't respect a single one of them and to pretend that the men of one certain political party hold the moral high ground over the men of another political party is just ignorant and enormously arrogant. You don't get to be the leaders of the world by being morally above reproach. Give me a break!

Add to that - That if politics becomes your only means of an income, you are going to say and do whatever it takes to keep food on the table. Thus, if you're a senator or a supreme court judge or anyone holding an office awarded to you for your superior ass-kissing abilities, you've already proven to me that you probably have a significantly lower ethical code - and the ones that are not morally compromised usually don't last to long in the lion's den we call Washington.

That being said - Show me a man with some honor, who actually does what he says he's going to do and puts his own value secondary to the country he serves and I'll gladly fight for that man.

I don't respect them, either. As I said, i am indifferent to them on an emotional level. The point is that I am not filled with blind hatred for our president of color. I simply refuse to give him credit for something that was not his doing.

I wasn't aware the man had ever been arrested and charged with any crime. His crimes are prima facie, and considering the source of accusations, I don't know what to believe. Some evidence complying with the rules of evidence would be a nice start.Thinking
