Sleepy I mean, video games are such a misuse of funds really... and so is healthy food. Oh, and electricity as well, we can't have that. Infact, why waste all of this perfectly good wood to build a fire or a house?

Tut, such wanton and fickle people they are.

Your rebuttal is a complete non-sequitur (as I was referring to wasting OTHER people's money on luxery items) and in general this is just a stupid post.

My 'rebuttal' is an example of how nonsensical it is that one can 'waste' a resource by using it.

You can't waste other people's money, as if you are using it and can protect your doing so: it is your money in the first place. What you let them keep using is either to keep them from possibly taking money from you or otherwise endangering your safety.

And even if you could use other people's money while it is still theirs... you could not waste it by using it. Waste is necessarily wanton, it is killing a moose and not using what you killed. It is allowing garbage to pile up without using it to build a ski hill. It is dumping food you can't finish in one setting into the trash that is heading for an incinerator to be turned into a toxic sludge that will never be used for anything.

Yup, I don't apprecieate either if my taxes subsidises lazy-ass bitches, who won't work themselves. But I'd like to think that the money I earn, but don't ever see, goes to building schools, providing for our elderly, libraries, almost free health care, tuition-free universities.. Then it doesn't seems so bad, even though the state and city takes a fifth of my earnings. Smile

It's disgusting and appalling behavior and that arrogant bastard should be relieved of his position by his employer for blatant misuse of funds.

unfortunately C C sacking him would mean an opportunity for another " arrogant bastard " to get the job, probably on a salary greater than the £270k p.a. plus expenses of course that it currently yields. They would justify it by saying they have to pay top dollar to get " the right person ".

Continuing the UK Government claim about us all being in it together ( the fiscal crisis ) it has been revealed that bosses of the top 100 firms receive 145 times more than average wage.
Pay experts Manifest show that last year those boss fatcats got a 62% pay rise whilst their staff got just 3% which equates to a pay cut after inflation.
Chief fatcat bosses are at Mothercare and Tesco.
The average Mothercare worker earns in 11 years and 10 months what boss Ben Gordon got paid in just 1 week.
The average Tesco worker earns in 9.5 years what ex-boss Terry Leahy got paid in a week. Whay a system!

There is something very wrong. Disgusting Greed.

1. Rick Wagoner, General Motors: Wagoner received $14.4 million in compensation in 2007, including a salary of $1.56 million.
2. Alan Mulally, Ford: His compensation in 2007 was $21.7 million, with a salary of $2 million.
3. Wendelin Wiedeking, Porsche: He is thought to have earned more than ¤60 million ($89 million) last year.
4. Carlos Ghosn, Renault-Nissan: In 2006, he took home $45.5 million.
5. Dieter Zetsche, Daimler: Forbes calculates his total compensation to be €8,550,000.

I somewhat understand why bosses get more money than their underlings, imagine being responsible for what those under you do, supposed to be answering the phone when work calls (24/7), working overtime and at odd times if you have colleagues abroad etc. But the rift is too wide, if you earn more, you should provide for your society better.

I don't. In my observations, higher ups are usually quite overcompensated for the minor additional overhead of their position. Especially everyone who is not in engineering, IT or accounting, which seem to have some form of anti-compensation in comparison.

I've worked for over 40 years and the bosses I've worked under, almost without exception, have not been worth the salary they were on. When it comes to the REAL fatcat bosses, their pay, bonuses, perks etc. are off the radar.

The maid he is alleged to have raped earns £14,000 a year....or 8 nights in that suite!
And to think, Strauss-Khan was due to be meeting other world crooks, sorry " leaders " to discuss Greece's debt crisis!

Quick update. Shows you how corrupt fatcat capitalists are. It is alleged ( I stress alleged that fellow fatcat friends of Strauss-Kahn
have approached the family of the maid and offered hush-money in 7 figures to drop the rape claim.
Let's wait and see what happens.
