RE: Daughter gets ISS for a hug
haha 8 hours community service for a hug.

What does a kiss get you? 3 months in a chain gang?

Go in and fight these fuckers mate, none of the punishments fit the "crime" and are all over the top, especially counselling, how do these idiots come to the conclusion someone needs counselling for a hug?

I do not know..probably picking up trash around the neighborhood or something.. maybe with a truant (sp) officer she just took the ISS.

She is bi and she got caught kissing a girl once, got suspended for a day...sent me a letter in bold print describing everything.."your daughter kissed a girl"

Talk about nudging the parents to interefere with their childrens personal love life decisions..these people are so backwards to think that I could have ANY power over my daughters tastes in love. I just dont want her hanging around bad people...I couldnt give a shit if she was kissing a frog.

...well, I think I would laugh, but thats about it.

1 day of in school suspension
1 day of out of school suspension
8 hours of community service
or
counseling

I would pitch a fit. Put up enough of a fuss and she'll get out of it. Think of her college application! Those jerks.

How could they be happy when they are anti-gay? That would make them hypocrites! Panic
Highschool contains some of the worst pickings for flirting and relationships though... typically too inexperienced. I would make the recommendation to her that she move on to college level individuals at the least Sleepy

Just my luck, your daughter probably wouldn't consider a chaotic transexual as her type anyway Wink

Umm... Public Display of Affection? Something that's been written into every school rulebook I've ever read in the several middle schools and high schools I've been to?

And clearly... they care. Mostly that the girl is hugging someone in their school building. Evidently they enforce a rule that in my experience most realize they cannot enforce.

Clearly, I am much older than you - because we did not have any such stupid rule in my high school.

The "ummm .." sarcasm wasnt necessary. I just looked it up and many schools just started banning hugs as of 2009 AND not all schools have this policy. So, it's not quite as obvious as you implied.
Maybe the hug was something like this ...

That which one lives feels like an eternity. The schoolsprisons I attended did have that policy.
