Sciwoman, great story. I cannot fathom the difficulties you have faced. On some level, I can personally relate to experiencing the fanaticism; the buybull belt can be a strange place. You are fortunate to have been freed of the chains at that stage in life. A stark majority of theists remain shackled after the "youthful rebellious stage".

Wow!

Sciwoman, that is a great story. I can relate on so many levels! I was born and raised a devout Baptist as a man though. I can't imagine the repressed depression you went through as a woman in your Baptist era.

I joined the forum to find out how to come out of the closet. I've been an athiest for the past 25 years, and only maybe 2 of my closest friends know.
