I think the "racist" thing that theVOID was pertaining to was the implication by Minimalist that all Korean's eat dog, or that some link has to be made between Koreans buying a chicken company and dog meat.
"racism. Noun: The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races."
In this case, the belief that all Koreans eat dog meat and want to transform perfectly ordinary chicken businesses into dog processing businesses...
I don't see any other reason why Minimalist would mention dogs in a thread about Koreans buying chicken companies...

Maybe the Harim Holdings Co. also sells dog meat in Asia? That would also be legit as that is part of their business.
To be frank, a lot of people eat dogs though.

To be frank, a lot of people eat dogs though. Even if they did, there is no reason to mention it in a post about a Korean company buying a chicken company. Last I checked, chickens and dogs were completely different animals. Unless we want to delve into guilt by association, there is no reason to bring up dog meat unless you want to make a snide and potentially racist remark about some Korean company.

A South Korean meat and poultry business this week won an auction to buy Allen Family Foods Inc., a chicken integrator in Delaware that filed for bankruptcy liquidation earlier this year (Feedstuffs, June 20).
Harim Holdings Co. Ltd., through its newly established Harim USA Ltd., outbid cross-state producer Mountaire Farms of Delaware, which walked away from bidding Monday after a bankruptcy court trustee said its $30 million offer was too low.

Oh, so Dogs are off limits but not Pigs, Cows, Chickens, Sheep, Ducks, Fish, Sharks and the like? Sure, because the animals we are happy eating, that's some objective moral standard for eating meat or something! Not like those minority of people from that other culture who don't feel the same way about Dogs as you, they're evil! Right? No, and your looking at them like criminals for eating Dog meat is bad enough, similar to a Hindu looking at us westerners with disgust for eating their beloved Cow, but the fact you find something YOU dislike that is present in a TINY SUBSET of the Korean population and then use that to attack THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.
And, what was the whole point of that story? That public outcry by KOREANS got the show cancelled, showing that enough people there don't like it to give the event venues the reason to refuse to host the event, meaning they could not find a location. As the protesters themselves said; "This is making our country an international laughing stock, and making the whole world mistakenly believe that all South Koreans eat dogs,". You completely missed the fucking point of their protest, to protect their reputation from assholes like you who would bitch about Koreans buying a meat plant "because they eat Dogs". Well done Min, you Jackass!

Oh, the prospective employees might care? Sure, they might, then again they're probably more happy about having jobs. You want to stop the Koreans buying the business that is currently in liquidation and creating jobs?
