His name is situated between Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Ronald Reagun.
Apparently, George Orwell being a Democratic Socialist does not bother Conservapedia idiots as long as they can take his success and tie it to their ideology.
Also notice the "ideology" of conservatism, including: Logic, Homeschooling, and "constitution". It also lists "Free market" and "Charity" as the ideals of conservatism. Talk about hypocrisy.

I don't know about "Conservative Leader" status however, I did very much enjoy his dystopian novel 1984. I can't get through "Animal Farm", past the first chapter or even the first two pages, no matter how hard I've tried over the years.
It's interesting though that 1984 presents a vision, though written in the early era of the 20th century Britain (1948ish) , how much of a prophetic dynamic that fiction presents in what is largely at work in America today.
I rather preferred the book, to living it's descriptions page after page, in real life.
As for his advocacy of Democratic Socialism, not a big fan.

The thing that really surprises me is that they actually acknowledge in the article itself that he is a socialist, and yet they still consider himself a "Conservative leader and thinker."
That said, I'm surprised that they didn't make Martin Luther King Jr a "conservative leader and thinker," since they've apparently re-branded the mastermind behind the "March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom" a conservative.
