What I find surprising about the poll results is that 20% of children are in favour of cp returning!
Speaking of canes, I bought one and it arrived today. Corporal punishment is fun when there are masochists out there that beg you to hurt them. Big Grin

My weekend is gonna be fuuuun.

RE: Corporal Punishment?
Kids these days are so rude, selfish, and just out right disrespectful.
Look back to the older generations.
They respected their elders, they did not talk back like they do today.

A good slap with a paddle would teach them good not to talk back.
You can't reason with children by using words most of the time,
but you can slap the shit out of them and they will get your message.

RE: Corporal Punishment?
I don't respect someone because they are older than me... I don't see the logic in that.

I will respect someone because they deserve it.

The best article I read about the riots came to the conclusion that the UK has produced a generation " good for nothing yet afraid of nothing ".
I say that not all, but many of this generation fit that bill, particularly the not being afraid .

I'm sorry but this is bollocks. The notion that somehow this generation is a bunch of good for nothing thugs? Are you serious? How many young people were not at home rioting? Millions! How many were rioting? A few thousand, but we're all just scum now? Do you not remember this happened in Brixton in 1981? My generation indeed.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.

Bollocks?
The thrust of my post was that the rioting was criminal not political.

You're right they were, but that does not make "not all but many" of the generation good for nothing scum.
