Both concepts of religion and science are meant to encompass all that is "real" so there is no need to talk of things outside of religion or outside of science, like they are ships passing in the night.

Wait I've changed my mind NOMA makes perfect sense only there are three magesteria: Science, religion, and super-religion
So not only do science and religion not overlap, but religion and super-religion are seperate things only apprehendable by the soul (for religion), and the super-soul (for super-religion) the super-devil has been fooling us by using our super-soul to confound the perception of our regular soul. Only through the power of pancake consumption can we release our colorless green emotion from its furious sleep and perceive the tendrils of super-God working within, but not interfering with science and religion. Wait, if there is a super-religion there must be a super-science too...
