Fairy tales won over science: a man must die today
A man must die today because scientific evidence is willfully ignored by 'the system'.
You need any more evidence how disgustingly sick that 'system' is? Try telling that guy "fairy tales are not dangerous"! |

I don't understand how this has anything to do with religion. It has to do with a shoddy conviction and sentence, but religion?

RE: Fairy tales won over science: a man must die today
Religion = fairy tale = religion.
It is a real live (sorry) demonstration of the dangers and power of fairy tales. I.e. the dangers and power of religion. And not in a distant time in some faraway land, but right now! Right here! Under our noses! In our 'western enlightened' society*! It kills people IRL! It's not funny. *And we're letting it happen. |

Yeah, I don't see the religious connection either...

RE: Fairy tales won over science: a man must die today
I saw nothing of "fairy tales" in this article. There have been many appeals and re-examinations of the evidence against him. He was found guilty.
The man took a life. He shot somebody in the face and somehow you believe he does not deserve to die? |

I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

There's no religion in this. The death penalty is a result of religion somehow? Or do you mean racism?

Yeah, there is no religious connection to this trial. Sorry. I'm going to have to move the thread.

Except that the evidence offered for conviction has: a) been recanted by several witnesses or found to have been inconsistent b) been tainted by alleged witness coercion by the police. But hey, he "shot" and "killed" a cop. No room for cross examination here, your honor. Just fry 'im. After all, we can't have cop killers ever get loose (never mind all the "regular" killers that are released). I despise special protections for certain groups, especially when there is a long standing history of corruption and hiring from the shallow end of the gene pool. |

And failed to notify me of your decision and action. Typical. Besides, it doesn't make sense: this section "Off Topic" is subtitled "Open up to some light hearted discussion". You've got a perverted sense of humor if you consider a miscarriage of justice that kills a man a light hearted discussion, my friend. And a serious social problem. |
