Myself. I don't even know if praying for anyone accounts for anything in Christianity.
Besides, this recently deceased friend of hers(or his) wouldn't even care even if I did.
Quote:I lost my best friend to AIDS recently. He wouldn't have given a fuck if you prayed for him or not.
So why am I being the asshole here, each time God says "fuck you" to someone?

I meant: If you would pray for AIDS patients last, who would have a higher priority than them? Anyone who didn't have AIDS? If so, why? If not, what do you mean?

Well it should be free. Personally I think any vaccine that would help save lives should always be free to sufferers. Is in the UK anyway, as far as I'm aware.

But yeah, great development. Thank you science, once again you demonstrate how work, knowledge and complete separation from religious shit does good to mankind. A pair of hands working really does more than a thousand collapsed in prayer. Does more than [insert any huge number] collapsed in prayer.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Yeah, in the UK I would imagine it would be free.
Hell, here in Scotland we get all our medicine free... I believe the English still have to pay for prescriptions though, am I right in thinking that?

Don't think so, not sure, I never needed any prescriptions. I think it's free.

Who? My own people, of course.
If it did help to anything of course.
Besides, it really doesn't help to pray for AIDS patients. It'd be kinda silly to do so, since they are doomed anyways. Like it'd make sense to pray someone who had cancer and is currently going to chemotherapy, and has at least a chance of recovery, you'll pray for a fast(and successful) recovery and all...But for what do you pray to AIDS patients for? A less painful death? Or living another day without catching an infection?

See. This guy knows that it helps to nothing.

I'm sure if you pray then you are open to the idea of supernatural intervention of some kind....

You don't pray for natural events... You want someone extraordinary to happen. So, praying for someone to be cured is perfectly reasonable... If you are into that kind of thing, anyway.

Prayer is obviously bullshit. People should stop praying for people and be there to comfort and help someone instead.

This new guy is even more fucked up than the previous ones!

I don't know what cool aid you've been drinking from, but AIDS infected people aren't "doomed anyway". To a matter of fact even your brain isn't doomed, you may yet find reason.
