RE: 'Seeking' God
This god sticks two people in paradise and when they fuck up, he casts them out into a world of morals, temptations, disease and death. Then it says, "Love me, worship me and do not fuck up or else ...". Of course, all the while, knowing just exactly what will happen.

Even without foreknowledge, could not one assume that if Adam and Eve could not make 'nice' in paradise, that they now had no chance at all? I know xtians that would make a better, smarter god than what they worship.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
-- Homer Simpson

He said we should search for god, but he never mentioned which god. Let's all worship Thor! Valhalla awaits us! Tongue

What I've never understood, is why should we search for something we don't even believe exists? Probably because they can't back their shit up. So they make more shit up. "The only way you can see god is if you first believe it." Huh?
So, you must first convince yourself there is a god, and only then you'd believe it? They want us to presuppose god's existence. Not acceptable. It's irrational and illogical in every way.
They need to back up their claims or get fucked.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Maybe god is still pissed about 6,000 years ago when he made human beings and then one of them gave into demon curiosity, convincing the other to give in too? I know that if I had created human beings who were naturally curious about things, and then they acted upon those natural instincts, I would be too furious to make my presence known to anyone but a handful of their descendants.

Because he is still embarrassed about mooning Moses.

I really have no need to seek a divine being. I don't believe in such a thing. More importantly possibly, I don't WANT to believe in such a thing.
I have a life to live and that is all.
I will live, I will cease to live.
The end.
