Evolution has lots of evidence. You'd have to be foolish to not believe in it.
Just explain to me how the universe which started as a burst of energy became conscious, living, breathing organisms. (There's no evidence of how this occurred).
Think you handled that in your own post. That you like to willfully omit a few billion years is par for the course. Here's the deal amigo, it doesn't matter if we had no explanation for any of it. Doesn't make yours any more correct. Like I said, we have two threads that you can go make your contribution to. Otherwise you're just shifting a burden because you have no answers to offer.

Just because we don't know what caused X doesn't mean Y's the answer. We don't know. What caused X? The answer is - ?.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them. You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
12 possibles of matter, 4 forces of nature with 13.7 billion years of interaction. Pretty sure a lot of things can happen with all of that. He obviously hasn't given it much thought. Must of hit the bible before anything else.

Oh a fish that can survive a day on land? I'll see your lungfish Doubting T and raise you homo sapiens. A bony fish that spends it's entire life (minus baths and the occasionally dip) planted on terra firma.

Yes there is evidence that consciousness and life can come from lifeless matter. The grand proof is directly in your DNA. Your DNA is what gives you life, all of your properties, the ability to think, love, breath...all of this was formed of your DNA. Your DNA is made of 4 lifeless elements and nothing more. Not to say that we didn't come from aquatic creatures millions of years ago, though.
