Rewriting the bible part 5 - duderonomy (Deuteronomy)
Finally the last chapter of the OT books then i can move onto the rest of the book Big Grin

The new laws of the bible... the same laws as there is now based on morals and modern day society.
That being said... do not look into this book for morals because well there is simply none. Only the morals
of the society you are born into.

So all in all blah blah blah promised land the modern day first world get there and be good the end.

Again, the issue is not so much when this shit was first written....7th century BC is pretty much a given ( fundie shitheads notwithstanding) but rather when it was last edited and who profited from the editing....cui bono as the lawyers say.

Deuteronomy:

Female victims of rape must marry their rapist. This is to provide for them see!

That is all you need to read to know how 'moral' this book was.
The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

If I rewrote the Bible I would only need a keyboard with a DELETE key.

Here's the Holy Bible, Old and New testament, abridged Alex K edition:

Quote:In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
For she doted upon their paramours,
whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys,
and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
And they had hair as the hair of women,
and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Amen.

It captures the essence, doesn't it?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 14, KJV revised edition
