I stopped evolving in the 80's but here's some oldies you might not have spun in awhile.

Head East/Flat as a pancake

Edgar Winter/They only come out at night

Molly Hatchet/Flirtin with disaster album

Uriah Heap/Look at yourself

For driving it has to be

The cardigans, my favourite game. Because its a on a racing game soundtrack

Miley cyrus, wrecking ball.

Journey, don't stop believin, people like to sing along to these.

Crocketts theme from miami vice. Because I like to feel like an 80s detective in miani while I drive.

Also 2 dance tracks I can't remember who they're by.

I get those goosebumps everyime and let's get down to bussiness.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

I've already decided to grab some random selections from bands that influenced the stuff I generally listen to (mostly British heavy metal and other rock debauchery).

I'm looking for some suggestions out of left field WRT my preference.

What would you put on the turntable to turn someone on to a band, solo performer, or genre of music?

Never trust those sitting in the front seat to balance the music out. Especially if you are outnumbered and sitting in the back seat.

On my last trip to Australia, during our 2 week trip, I took my best friend from Oklahoma there. Our host Debra, drove us north for 5 days up from Brisbane, but unfortunately for me, they both love country music. My friend John, the guy I took with me, had an I- Phone he loaded up with music and plugged in to her dashboard. I asked him to load up some 80s rock and ABBA. But it seemed to be 4 to 1 country ratio those 5 days. And I cannot begin to tell you how HUGE  Australia is.

If you are going to go on a road trip and want a balance, get it in writing first.

Steppenwolf Born to be Wild compelation from the early 90s would be appropriate.

You might have heard part of this. But listening to the full song, odds are, you'll consider Kanye West's "Power" to be like drawing dicks all over Goya's Black Paintings.

This song wasn't given a sample in a rap song that totally fucks with the vibe of the original song, but I'd be surprised if nobody in the British heavy metal scene considered this as an influence on some level:

And this might not be music, but Dad and I never start a long trip without quoting this:

Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.
