Here's hoping the ICC issues warrants for all involved ... and follows up.

Any warrants issued by the ICC would be invalid. If they were to follow up by arresting an American citizen, it would probably constitute kidnapping.

Restricting their travel would likely be the upshot, sure. But kidnapping? I'm not so sure, so long as Hegseth et al leave America on their own volition.

The US claim is that the ICC has no jurisdiction over its citizens, even if they commit a crime on the soil of a signatory nation. I’m not a lawyer (I just play one on message boards), but I have the feeling that if the ICC ever did arrest a USian, the fallout would be unpleasant, give the current trigger-happy mindset of the regime.

Costco sues the Trump administration, seeking a refund of tariffs

Costco Wholesale has sued the Trump administration before the Court of International Trade, asking it to consider all tariffs collected under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act unlawful.

The company said in a filing Friday that it is seeking a “full refund” of all duties under the act paid as a result of President Donald Trump's executive order that imposed what he called "reciprocal" tariffs.

“Because IEEPA does not clearly authorize the President to set tariffs ... the Challenged Tariff Orders cannot stand and the defendants are not authorized to implement and collect them,” Costco's lawyer writes in the lawsuit.
