Concerning "Midnight Mass"

Concerning "Midnight Mass"
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt10574558/
It's on Netflix

The religious overtones from the very beginning, including church music as the soundtrack, almost had me give up on the show.

Beware, because one has to get at least three episodes into the religious nonsense, despite the one rational atheist character, before the horror aspect is introduced. It's easy to think the entire show is nothing more than religious propaganda.

I'm about to start episode five this morning, and I hope it gets better.

The show is called "Midnight Mass"... what'd you expect?

The amount of cognitive dissonance coming from this priest is astounding.

Nearing the end of episode five, and I'm beginning to think this entire show is just proselytization in horror form.

Quite upset, to be honest, but not enough to cease watching. I'll stick it out till the end, because mentally I'm stronger than religious nonsense. Yet, I can only take it in spurts, so I will save the last two episodes for tomorrow.

The end of episode five, though. Whoa.

So is the OP upset that a horror show contains supernatural elements? What am I missing?

Episode six, the show is getting better now that some of the more rationally minded people of the community are beginning to comprehend what is happening.

I’m on 4. Better than I expected. Not the greatest, but.

I hope it doesn’t end with all believers

It was the best religious movie/series I’ve see, which isn’t many.

Wonder if Mike Flanagan, the writer, was an atheist?
