There is no such thing as "modern theology". If you want to stump a theologian - ask them for one new thing, that theology accomplished in the past 500 years.
No, the wheels fell off that wagon a loooong time ago, but it's difficult to tell, because it was going nowhere fast in the first place...
Would that include all of the theological work done in the areas of medical science?
