Gate's "charitable" foundation is as much a scam as Trump's. The vast majority of its funds come from Microsoft, a company he hasn't owned in a long time (he's at best defrauded his fellow investors to fund a vanity project), has a nasty habit of crowding out local companies and governmental organisations in favour of companies owned or operated by friends which are much dearer to use, and finally both he and his wife have, for years, taken seven figure salaries from the trust.

Gates is simply much better at seeming than Trump.

Well that's just a ridiculous sentiment straight out of 4chan.

The Gates Foundation actually gives money (and a fuckton of it) to actual charities. Billions of dollars have gone to fighting eradicable diseases, basic healthcare, family planning, etc. in third world countries.

The worst that can be said is that the trust (not the foundation, but the Bill & Melinda Gates Trust) which provides a significant amount of the capital for the foundation, invests in fossil fuel companies and shitty companies like Wal-Mart and McDonalds.

I'm sure they're not perfect people, but the foundation does a lot of good around the world. Comparing it to Trump's lack of proof for charitable donations to anyone but himself is just dishonest.

My mother used to live in a retirement community called Ryderwood, in Washington state.  It was miles from anything, basically an old logging housing development.  
They had one small grocery store there, and it burned to the ground. The Gates Foundation actually funded rebuilding the building, and added a library on as well.  IT was a wonderful thing to do, because otherwise those old folks were stuck driving upwards of 40 miles just to get milk and bread.  The library was a wonderful addition as well!

So yes, it does a ton of good, for local people and groups all over the world.  Big and small.
