The death penalty has been defacto abolished in Washington for years. When they didn't use it on the Green River Killer, the literal worst serial killer in American history, you knew it was gone.
Fun fact, Washington state was still hanging people in the 1990s. With the last hanging being in 1994

FYI, I wasn't making fun of liberals. I was making fun of the fact that economic conservatives in America are too stupid to understand that just on taxes alone it costs more to prosecute a death penalty case than it does to simply give them life in prison.
But by all means, CARE ABOUT MY USE OF CAPS, because we wouldn't want to focus on real problems would we?
