They already stole part of mexico. That's why there are Hispanics in texas and new mexico. The US invaded mexico and stole huge swathes of land.
Um not exactly. As a native Texan I've gone through my share of history classes for it. Stephen F. Austin was actually recruiting Americans for the Mexicans to settle Texas. He was offering land to those willing to come work it. After awhile the Texans didn't want to follow Mexican law and religion (Mexico were Catholics and forcing Texans to follow it, granted that WAS part of the stipulation when the Americans agreed to settle Texas so it is jacked up that they suddenly got all I'm not following your rules anymore!) Texans declared their own independence. America did help (Woot woot Mr. Crockett!) but it would be another 9 or 11 years before Texas realized it was failing as a nation (Tell anyone I admitted Texas failed and I will murder you all in your sleep) and joined America in desperation to survive.
