I've often had pause to wonder if old people simply were born that way... or rather: if the universe is only a day old, and everything remembered (or not) by old people is simply how the universe came into being.
This must be so, because it's obvious that you had no childhood.
I had a childhood no better or worse than most. I simply see the damage of mixing dreaming like laypeople do with always being a possibility because they are too lazy to do the work to test and see if it is.
Good dreaming isn't delusional. Accepting something as merely a dream is fine, but it gets humans really fucked up when they are so credulous as to lead others off a cliff.
I don't mind a good fantasy or escape as long as it is accepted as such. But far too much of our species doesn't do that, and it screws up our species quite often when it is confused as being fact.
