Secular Buddhism

I'm trying to figure out if there is an established school of Buddhism that is generally divorced from magic and the afterlife, and that is not centered around a cult of personality or monkhood.
This could include some kind of Universalist church. My grip with those sorts of new age people is that they don't adhere to any systematic practice or list of precepts that they live by, allowing anyone with an opinion to teach it.
I'd also like to exclude any sort of atheist poets society that believes we are all stardust and that we are all connected because of that, or that we are the universe becoming aware of itself. I don't want the magical element to just be replaced by poetry, which is the same thing minus faith.
Anyone know any good movements?
