I defer as always to Matt D:
Even if the book did contain amazing scientific truths, we'd still have to test then out ourselves to find out if they are actually true. And even then, we don't know why they happened to get it right. Lucky guess? Some knowledge that has since been forgotten? Who knows. Putting God in their mouth is just an argument from ignorance.

Also, he said that no matter how many correct things are in the book, that doesn't mean everything else is also correct. He gave an example something like this:
1- I'm a man
2- I'm on the air
3- Two plus two equals four
4- I am God
