Hmmm I think people would enjoy life to its fullest and probably do things they always wanted to. A part of the population would become crazy and engage in criminal activity. We would do things few people would do if the world wasn't going to end.

Some people would refuse to accept the fact and become depressed.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
