The problem on both sides is assuming that one person or another is an asshole straight off the bat without getting to know them.
I'm usually asking for more tolerance on this site in particular, but I'll be one of the first to call someone out and snap at them if they're being a jack ass - theist or atheist.
If someone comes at me or another person in a hostile manner, they're going to get the sarcasm and mockery guns full throttle that so many believers seem to hate. I'll give them a chance to calm down first, but after a certain point I'm not a door mat. 1) because after that certain point, reasonable people usually calm down, unless they have an axe to grind and no way will I allow myself or others to be the whetstone. 2) What gives you the right to think you can treat me like shit in the first place?
