But she intended to stab him, which by itself warrants prison time. She literally brutally attacked a person to the point where he died, and yet "well, I didn't really mean it" is enough to get her off with no jail time?

A Porirua woman has been sentenced to 12 months home detention for killing her partner during a domestic violence incident in a possible legal first.
