Finally got round to watching 'Spectre' and realized that Christoph Waltz is my favourite villain since the much-lamented death of the great Alan Rickman.
As Blofeld, Richelieu, Hans Landa, even as Chudnofsky in the otherwise (mostly) execrable 'The Green Hornet', Waltz seems to be a natural at projecting a sort of polished, urbane evil that is superbly effective. He effortlessly gives the impression that your life and well-being are completely inconsequential to him. If the 'Die Hard' franchise is ever re-booted, he's clearly the top choice to be the new Hans Gruber.
Can you think of any other film actors that are as good as Waltz at portraying this sort of character?
