Besides, NFL of course. What bartender?
I think it is pretty obvious. The owner of the bar I went to, decided to stop playing NFL games because he didn't like the players protesting. I didn't know because I hadn't been there in several weeks. So when I showed up today, and found out he was a dick, I turned around and walked out.
Point is this has been in the news for a long time that NFL players are kneeling during the anthem. I am with the players, that moron is with the owners.
But if you are talking about the title of the thread, it is a take off of the depression meme, back then, "Excuse me, but could you spare a dime".
That phrase is even older than me considering, but I remember it from all sorts of news, documentaries , and memes and even a Buggs Bunny cartoon spoofing Humphrey Bogart begging for money.
"Excuse me but can you spare a game?", Is a take off of the depression meme "Can you spare a dime?"
