The 80s had that whole Swords and Sorcery thing going from the Dungeons and Dragons craze. Accordingly, I REALLY liked the Masters of the Universe cartoons. Really good writing for a cartoon series.
Knight Rider got my attention but I couldn't get into it. It was more science fiction than fantasy so it had a higher bar as far as the whole Suspension of Disbelief thing goes and it failed miserably. One of the things that made me cringe was the Passive Laser Restraint System in lieu of seat belts, lol. I'd love to see how a laser keeps you from flying through the windshield unless it vaporizes you instead - which kind of defeats the point! Plus, I couldn't stand Devin or whatever his name was. I have little respect for stuffed shirts sitting behind a desk.
Star Trek: The Next Generation was the ultimate in 1980s TV for me.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
