Toxic masculinity and sexual assault

I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the science area, but seeing as how toxic masculinity and rape apologia have become increasingly political, here goes.

Toxic masculinity leads to sexual assault more than alcohol

There definitely seems to be a link between alcohol and sexual assault, but it doesn't appear to be the largest contributing factor. A study following 700 college students grouped them into four categories based off of high or low frequency of assault, and trending higher or lower. The groups trending upward reported increased peer support for assault and general increase of hostility toward women.
