Some are clearly the fault of the QB, receiver, or running back. But sometimes it does amount to a good defensive play where there would have been nothing the offense did wrong. I just saw a play today where Panther did everything right in catching the ball, tucking the ball in but still had it punched out of his arms.
I know for stats reasons the turnover always gets blamed on the side that turns it over. But I don't like that. Sometimes you do all the right things and it still amounts to the other team doing slightly better.
