He didn't use the word "rain". He used the word "water".

Water is not rain. We never say "the sky is "watering". Also in Arabic we never use water to describe rainfall.

You know that wet stuff that falls out of the sky?  What's that made of, exactly?

Boru

It depends.

It rains glass in this planet:

https://www.space.com/22614-blue-alien-p...-rain.html
Quote:There's a "blue marble" alien planet just 63 light-years from Earth, but the world is anything but friendly to life. Researchers say the blue color in the atmosphere likely comes from a rain of molten glass.

While on Venus, it rains acid:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmosphere_of_Venus
Quote:Surface level humidity is less than 0.1%.[43] Venus's sulfuric acid rain never reaches the ground, but is evaporated by the heat before reaching the surface in a phenomenon known as virga.[44]

Moreover, it rains diamonds on Jupiter and Saturn:

https://www.space.com/23135-diamond-rain...aturn.html

Quote:Chunks of diamonds may be floating in hydrogen and helium fluid deep in the atmospheres of Saturn and Jupiter. What's more, at even lower depths, the extreme pressure and temperature can melt the precious gem, literally making it rain liquid diamond, researchers said.

The Quran is a universal book. So no wonder it is very specific. Who says rain is water? it's only water on earth.
