I have to be honest here, the last time I saw this, I didn't watch the entire speech, but finally did just now. Overall I still agree with his argument that we need a military, but we cannot let the public or private sector, or any sect of power let it get out of hand.
But at one point in the speech he negatively speaks of "atheists", pretty sure that is referring to the cold war post WW2 which is a fallacious argument. But outside that one dig he is right.
