The seed of life through out scripture refers to sperm. her virginity simply indicates this was done so in an a-typical fashion/no sexual intercourse. not as a result of a-sexual reproduction.
Show me one place where the bible refers to sperm.
did you not understand what i had just said in the bit you quoted? i see the bible refers to SEED When Speaking of Sperm!
So there will be no mention of sperm as this is a modern term that supersedes the archaic term 'seed.'
So where does the bible use seed refering to sperm?
Genesis 38:9
Verse Concepts
Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother.
here is a common english reading which identifies semen:
6 And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. 7 But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord put him to death. 8 Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother's wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” 9 But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother's wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother. 10 And what he did was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death also. 11 Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father's house, till Shelah my son grows up”—for he feared that he would die, like his brothers. So Tamar went and remained in her father's house.
here is an older king james which identifies seed in place of semen:
7 And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord slew him.
8 And Judah said unto Onan, “Go in unto thy brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.”
9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest he should give seed to his brother.
10 And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; therefore He slew him also.
11 Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow at thy father’s house, until Shelah my son is grown”; for he said, “Lest perhaps he die also, as his brethren did.” And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.
