Thanks summer do you happen to have any pics of those watercolour pieces by any chance? would love to see em. Yeah painting fruit or doing studies on any organic material can be really great for learning tones hues and highlights, and very enjoyable to do, and when they are done you can get a really interesting result too. I think I have some old organic drawing studies from art college somewhere, must try and dig them out and put them up
