Thanks. Couldn't slow down, but I got the medical director at my job to take a look at me. No fever and lungs were clear; it's just bronchitis. I can slow down now, because the State arrived for our yearly inspection yesterday morning...2 inspectors for some reason.
What will be, will be.
Almost done with my EMT license renewal. Lecture attendance and written tests have been completed; Only the skills assessment is left. I've been working my regular full-time shift, attending the EMS refresher in the evenings, and then returning BACK to work along with 2-3 other nurses each night to reconstruct scores of medical charts that were just emptied, tossed together in bags, and stuffed into various storage areas throughout the facility. We also had to perform the medication/med administration audits that weren't done during a recent quarantine. Up until 2 days ago, we were having to be on the floor doing direct patient care AND completing the medication passes for the entire building, due to massive call-outs. There was no time for anything else.
It was a pretty rough week, but at least I got an assload of overtime out of it.
Ha ha...I'll be rich. Ponies for everyone!
