We're hoping the best for you, ma'am.
My son's mom was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer, after almost five years free of malignancy. Fortunately, because of her decade-long battle with breast cancer, she gets Pap smears quarterly, so the MDs are confident that this one was caught early and will be treatable by radiation alone.
All that to say I don't know how it feels to have the worry for myself personally, but I do know what it is to worry about someone you love. My best wishes to you for a happy outcome, JL.
They are checking for Barrets, apparently it is, if I understand correctly, what leads to esophageal cancer. They are also checking for celiac disease. If I haven't heard from them by next Friday, I'll be giving them a call.
