Also quietly optimistic... got a weird letter about surgery this morning. I rang up thinking it was a mistake, as I've not heard anything about this. Apparently it isn't. I've been put forward by my specialist for consideration. If they could operate and sort out the stricture in my guts, it would be incredible. I'd finally be able to come off this ultra low fibre/residue diet which is very restricting and kicks my as along with the ME.
I don't know anything for sure yet, but it's hopeful news.
That's wonderful Rob! I sincerely hope you are able to go through with the operation and begin to function more normally. Food is such an important aspect of quality of life, and low residue diets BLOW ASS. [emoji45] I had surgery due to a stricture in my upper small intestine in 2005 and I still remember how horrible it was to feel sick all the time and not be able to eat. Please keep us updated, and I will remain cautiously optimistic for you going forward with surgery! ::fingers crossed::
