People didn't like Abbott, and he had a problem of not being able to commit to policies. I was annoyed when Scott Morrison became treasurer because he's no better than Hockey, and in fact he's worse since Hockey was a better spokesperson at least. The people who really lost when Abbott got rolled was Indigenous Australians. Abbott actually cared about, and understood Indigenous issues, whereas Rudd in 2007 promised to change Australia Day (aka Invasion Day) and then when Labor got elected he said "no". It really should be done, and there's no reason not to - move the day to February or another month. Turnbull seems to lack a comprehensive understanding of Indigenous affairs, and shows little empathy when discussing them. That's not to say he's as bad as Rudd, but he doesn't seem to come close to understanding the Indigenous affairs issues the way that Abbott did.

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
