Get those kids o there! (Theists at Jacksonville try to pray Hurricane Irma away)

"As Christians, we are told in scripture that we can speak storms to quiet down like Jesus did," organizer Mary Parker said. "People care about Jacksonville. They care about the beaches, yes. They don't want any more erosion, they don't want any more destruction of property or families dying. They came to prevent what happened in Texas."

Um.. do they think that  not a single Texan got the bright idea to pray the storm away??? 

It's like watching Natives pray to an active volcano to get it to stop being angry. Same diff. Primitive and somewhat chilling. Mostly just sad though. They probably can't get out of town. I do hope they left and took actual precautions in saving they and their children's lives..

I pity people who do this and really think their "praying" will actually work. 

How awesome would it be if they all suddenly became atheists because the reality of life smacked them around hard enough to wake their silly asses up to the fact that their precious "god" doesn't give a shit about them.
