-then you've got retail, as well as tourism and just straight up leisure and all of that economic opportunity...and ofc there's that tiny little issue about how most of us use them to get to work or to our doctors appointment, or to drop our kids off at schools, plays, practice, or the library.
If a gun did all of that and was also a gun..I'd be having filthy unprotected sex with one right now. For better or for worse, cars are the indispensable thing in a nation built around cars. -and yet, they're heavily regulated at every level of ownership and those laws are viciously enforced. Additionally, we do know that we need to move past them. Literally nothing about cars matches the situation with guns, making them a phenomenally poor analogy unless a person wanted to posit that we should treat guns a whole hell of alot more like we treat cars.
