Anywho, Atlas, magic book is recounting their version of a story in old magic book, wherein moses throws down what's in his hand, and it turns into an even more powerful bit of magic that eats the others. This story was explicitly derived from egyptian mythology (as a polemic against egyptian mythology). It's of pre-roman origin. It's also a wonderful example of precisely what I just explained to you. Their magic is bullshit, our bullshit is magic.
Back when people still openly believed in magic, any given religion had to have the greater magic than it's competitors. Imagine if McDonalds ran advertising that went- "Big Macs, almost as good as Whoppers!". Can't see it, can you?
How you say it is "magic" even though the verse in the Quran explicitly said that Moses -peace be upon him- wasn't a magician, is beyond me:
Because it is magic. You can call it a miracle all you like. it's just the same as magic. The normal rules are suspended for the duration of the magic (or miracle). They are one and the same. Calling magic a "miracle" does not change what happened in any way. Labelling things does not change their nature. It's just a fucking label.

Who cares what your book of magic says? Really?

Yeah, wow that you really are that gullible. It's a little sad. Until one realises that you want it. You dont believe it because it is true, or has evidence to back it up, or anything. You simply want it to be true.
